Today's campaigns are in large part much more complex, thanks to Google's ever-evolving algorithms.

Successful SEO revolves around stellar content, and successful PR equates to an enviable network. Since SEO needs that network to thrive and PR needs great content to have something to crow about, the marriage of these two disciplines is now a no-brainer.

Networking and Citations: The Keys to Success
Many companies focus PR around two main areas: press releases and social signals. Both are critical to generating word of mouth, links, and overall buzz, but at the heart of success lies the quality of your network.

Is Social Media Damaging Interpersonal Communication?

By Abigail Clark (c) 2013

More than half of all Americans have at least one social media profile, and it seems once you're hooked, you're hooked. According to StasticBrain.com, there are 1.2 billion people on Facebook alone - and they spend 15 hours logged in, on average, per month. But could logging on so frequently be damaging your interpersonal communication skills? Digital Contact vs. Human Interaction on Special Occasions Once upon a time we'd line our mantles with Christmas cards collected during December, and store treasured cards marking our birthdays in shoeboxes. Improve Marketing Creativity by Streamlining AP Processing

By Jeff Frankel (c) 2013

If a marketing department is bogged down by poor vendor relationships due to slow or nonexistent AP processing, its ability to keep pace with creative initiatives will be hindered. While the two may not seem related from the outset, the lack of a holistic perspective may be precisely what is missing from some organizations in which both departments are suffering. The definition of 'streamline' is to design or provide a form that presents very little resistance to a flow, which increases speed and ease of movement. Streamlining a business process requires cooperation and, often times, automation of various tasks so that employees can focus on adding value to…

By Jennifer Cowan (c) 2013

File-sharing site YouSendIt has a whole new identity. The company, which has been in operation for nearly a decade, has changed its name to Hightail to mark "the fundamental changes" that have occurred within the company as well as to represent a number of new services in the offing. "With a name that strides like a giant across a landscape of Boxes, Syncs and Shares alongside an audaciously elegant look that contrasts with the endless dreary blues of the cloud space, Hightail leads by example.
